You have to think;
I think sexual thoughts about children are learned because of the culture we live in. Children are sexualized, ‘teen’ is one of the most (if not most) popular pornography genre there is, and men are socialised into supremacy and control. That’s a recipe for paedophilia. Women being much, much less likely to be paedophiles goes to show this, because they are socialised into inferiority, maternity, and submission. Paedophilia MAY be caused by other events, but in my opinion it is mostly a product of socialisation and learned behaviour.
I agree with most all of this and would like to add that women are trained from a young age to see men as individuals with personalities and not to feel that we deserve access to any men’s bodies (rightfully).
Also, I’m not sure about your #3. What you can tell a therapist without them reporting you varies state by state and pedophiles is one thing that really changes in each state. Pedophiles have mentioned online that even in states where you are allowed to tell a therapist they will sometimes report you. I’ve also been told that not reporting a known pedophile is a huge risk to the therapist because if the pedophile abuses a child the therapist can be liable for not reporting. Anyone else know more about these laws?
I find it hard to believe that in a society that is such pro pedophilia (yes you heard me, daddy kink, jail bait, daddy issues. Young girls being blamed for attracting men because of clothes, behavior and so on) that not ONE pedophile man or woman, has stepped forward BEFORE ever molesting a child and talked about how we should make it easier for these supposed types, to navigate and get rid of their urges.
NOT ONE. Tell me about all these non child-molesting pedophiles and I will believe that we need some sort of resource that helps them. Otherwise, I dont care that they have to be reported, because no-one seems to be able to show evidence of all these “poor pedophiles” that do no harm
I’m not trying to fight you here-I agree it is accepted/endorsed by society. But these people do exist and if getting them help could prevent child abuse we should do that.
I havent even been half way through the transscript and this guy is first of all only 19, he has plenty of time to commit crimes, second, he watched child pornography? how is he a good example?
